Little Paris Tallahassee Reviews

The service was excellent. Well accommodating and friendly. The food was delicious. Great place to share wine with friends or a date night. Loved the cozy and beautiful vibe- quaint and serene. Also great since it's near a lot of shopping areas.

Wife and I decided to try this restaurant whose menu looked genuine French, with many classics. The baguette slices were excellent, great crust and nice chew. Wish they served more. The Caeser salad was good and pretty large even shared. Wanted the foie gras, but apparently it is pate so we skipped it. My wife's filet mignon steak was outstanding, a large portion of sufficient thickness. Sauce was also excellent. My duck l'orange was good but nowhere near the quality. Ratatouille was very good as were the fries. I also had the creme brulee. It was excellent, two strawberries on wonderful flambe top crust and great creme custard. They have a neat take home entry of 6 croissant for breakfast. We got 3 each plain and chocolate for breakfast tomorrow. The bakery items have all been outstanding. A word about space and furniture, it's non descript. Could be any kind of restaurant. But then they use great French steak knives which can slice anything. Today the steak was so tender it didn't need such though the duck did. One knife probably cost the same as all the other tableware and silverware combined. The service was other than sterling. The words were there but barely the practice. Wine was ok, a Rhone red, reminds me of a soft Merlot. Good selection to match any dish. Restaurant is excellent for the French food. Enjoy that!

I loved the entree that I got, it was delicious! The dessert was also pretty great, it was the chocolate molten lava cake. I wish there was more cake to go with the melted chocolate but other than that, everything was amazing.

Great restaurant. Excellent friendly and professional service from our waitress Emily. The restaurant felt homey yet classy at the same time. We ordered traditional French classics that were cooked perfectly. Highlights were the duck, escargot, and beef burgundy. All veggies were delicious. Highly recommended.

Congratulate me. I got promoted. How to celebrate my promotion? A fancy dinner, of course! Or fancy for this city at any rate. We booked a reservation and went to Little Paris. Little Paris is in a plaza with plenty of free parking, so nothing to worry about there. The ambiance upon arrival is a bit dim with lots of cliché decor around (just check out the Eiffel Tower seat cushions), but you can still see--for dinner at least. No idea how it is for lunch. Our server, whose name I forgot, was nice, but she was admittedly a bit slow in taking our order and bringing our items out. This is definitely not a place for a quick meal. As for its authenticity, it's legitimate as my companion is French and he did not complain about the food. Between us, aside from wine and beer, we ordered the following five items: 1) Brie cheese rôti: This was our appetizer. It's essentially a little frying pan with melted Brie cheese and bread accompanying it. This was absolutely delicious, but it is quite rich. We did have a bit of difficulty finishing it and unless you're in a party with a cheese lover, I probably would not suggest having two people share this. Again, I repeat: it is quite rich. 2) Beef Bourguignon: This was my companion's meal. Had I not had the intention to have dessert, I'd have ordered it. This is a stew with huge beef chunks and it was tasty. Perfect balance of flavors. 3) Duck breast à l'orange: My dish. It brought ratatouille on the side, which complimented it well. Do note that the duck was a bit sweet (again why I say the ratatouille complimented it well) and I was asked how I wanted my duck cooked. I guess it slipped my mind that duck, depending on the dish, can be cooked various ways. I had it well done and it was amazing. 4) Fondant chocolate: My companion's dessert dish. In a nutshell, it's a small chocolate molten cake with ice cream and he inhaled it. Enough said. 5) Profiteroles: I went for dessert and this was it. It was impressively big, and well, I think unless you're a chocoholic, starving, or a group of 3-4 people sharing this, you may want to stay away from ordering this. It was heavenly, but I could not finish it, and given the ice cream, well--it wasn't worth taking home either. Overall, it made for a lovely evening. I would certainly return, but it would be for a special occasion. Prices are a tad expensive for an everyday meal.

The restaurant is pretty non-descript. The food is good, but not exemplary. Everything has a separate price - for bread for the table, sodas (by the can, so individually priced if you want another can), plain risotto with upcharges for any protein (so that one risotta with scallops was over $40), etc. Our waiter was pretty hard to engage. Seemed stuffy, a little rude - under I asked what she liked best for an entree. Just no need for the attitude. I had never been and this restaurant has been around for awhile, so I was glad to experience it. And perhaps "experience" is THE word - it's great for an experience outing. But for regular visits, likely not. 2 people, 2 beers, 2 entrees, a shared salad, bread for the table - over $200.
